Atlanta, GA - January 14, 2016 - Symphony GOLD, provider of the GOLD unified software platform for retail, today announced that Leroy Merlin Russia has implemented GOLD Demand Forecasting, Warehouse Replenishment, and Replenishment Insights to help streamline inventory management across six warehouses. With GOLD, Leroy Merlin Russia will improve stock asset performance by lowering holding costs while increasing merchandise availability and improving sales and customer service.
A subsidiary of the ADEO group, Leroy Merlin is a key international retailer, selling home and garden decoration and building products. With more than 50,000 employees worldwide, Leroy Merlin operates 325 stores in 13 countries: Greece, Brazil, France, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Russia, China, Cyprus, Romania, Ukraine and Turkey.
Russia is a very dynamic market, especially for the Do It Yourself (DIY) sector. To keep pace with consumer demand, Leroy Merlin Russia needed to streamline its supply chain, reduce operational expenses in its warehouses, which supply 36 stores in 17 cities, and assure better on-shelf availability levels.
"Investing in a system which allows us to optimize our inventory while maximizing availability at best cost has become imperative," said Eric Poulet, Director Supply Chain of Leroy Merlin Russia. "By consolidating both import logistics with regional logistics, GOLD has delivered global visibility into our operations. The decision support capabilities in the GOLD Replenishment Insights module enable us to improve significantly all the operations of Leroy Merlin Russia."

"Symphony GOLD is the perfect fit for a fast-growing retail chain like Leroy Merlin Russia that needs to optimize its global logistics chain," said Graeme Cooksley, President and MD, Symphony GOLD. "GOLD offers full visibility and insights on inventory as it moves from supplier to the warehouse and on to the store. As a result, Leroy Merlin Russia will improve product availability and increase customer satisfaction in all its stores."
