This flexible unit combines high-speed automated horizontal carousel picking with pick-to-light accuracy and the ability to adjust labor to reflect current demand. Depending on volumes, one operator can pick from a pod of two carousels or up to a pod of four carousels with just a few clicks of a button. This enables managers to manage labor usage in the carousels. The high-density storage system uses 40 to 60 percent less floor space and 80 percent less cubic space than traditional shelving. Picking productivity is also improved by delivering products to the worker.
