Ocean freight e-commerce pOréal Inttra Inc. today said it had integrated its booking engine with a cloud-based transportation management system (TMS) from Info-X Software Technology.
The combination will enable communication among numerous parties across Inttra's network, allowing them to do tasks such as accepting electronic bookings and shipping instructions from their customers, ensuring speedier cargo bookings, and providing real-time cargo tracking and tracing, according to Inttra.
The product is the latest result of a longstanding partnership between Parsippany, N.J.-based Inttra and New York-based Info-X, a logistics software provider serving global non-vessel operating common carriers (NVOCCs) and freight forwarders.
"Inttra is the neutral network at the center of the ocean shipping industry and a valued partner for our platform," Info-X CEO Rishi Parti said in a statement. "With Inttra driving our solution, we'll work to lower the communication barriers between shippers and NVOCCs seeking real-time visibility and automation."
