Transportation and supply chain solutions provider A. Duie Pyle has leased a 150,000 square-foot facility in Greencastle, Pa., to accommodate demand for warehousing and logistics services in the Northeast in advance of a new facility the company will open in 2020, company leaders said today.
The interim site will offer integrated less-than-truckload (LTL) and dedicated transportation services for next-day transit in the Northeast, the company said. The site serves as a precursor to the opening of Pyle's fixed site, which will also be in Greencastle. Now under construction, the future site will include up to 300,000 square feet of warehouse space, an 81-door LTL cross dock, and a 10-bay fleet maintenance center that includes an automatic truck wash, the company said.
Pyle began using the temporary site September 1; business there will transfer to the new, permanent location upon its opening in 2020.
"We are excited to open our 11th warehouse and distribution center which will provide additional capacity to continue to service our customers' expansion needs," Frank Granieri, A. Duie Pyle's COO of supply chain solutions, said in a statement. "This interim capacity solution will provide us with temporary space to operate in advance of the completion and opening of our newest Integrated Logistics Center, which we eagerly look forward to making available for the benefit of our customers."
