CasterDepot acquires Bastian Solutions' caster and wheel business
Deal includes Indianapolis office location, expanding CasterDepot's service in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky.
CasterDepot has acquired the caster and wheel operations of material handling system integrator Bastian Solutions, the company said this week.
The Grand Rapids, Mich.-based caster supplier said the deal includes all of Bastian Solutions' caster and wheel assets as well as an office in Indianapolis, allowing CasterDepot to better serve customers in the Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky region.
"Bastian Solutions' dedication to providing the best service and products to its customers matches ours at CasterDepot—making this an easy decision," according to Jason Popma, CasterDepot president. "This is a very exciting time of expansion and growth at CasterDepot."
The acquisition follows two earlier expansions by CasterDepot, including its 2013 purchase of Atlantic Caster, Richmond, Va., and its 2017 addition of a Jacksonville, Fla., location, the company said.
Bastian Solutions, which has locations in North and South America as well as Asia and Europe, was purchased by Toyota Advanced Logistics in 2017.
