Rehrig Pacific has introduced Bottle Armor, a simple and reliable solution for water bottle leakage problems. Designed for the home and office delivery business, Bottle Armor provides safe water bottle transit that can translate into big savings for bottlers. Historically, five-gallon water bottles were individually packaged in wooden crates and manually loaded onto trucks for delivery. But industry practice has changed in recent years. Today's high-speed filling lines demand robotic loading of multi-bottle racks to achieve required through-put speeds. However, bottles often bounce up and down within these transport racks, which can cause micro holes in the bottles. These micro holes can lead to leaks, and the end result may be wet carpets, damaged flooring, and unhappy customers.
To prevent that from happening, Bottle Armor uses shockabsorbing elastomer bumpers and contoured contact surfaces to cushion and contain three- and five-gallon water bottles during transit. This cushioning eliminates the primary cause of bottle failure, while also reducing rack and truck maintenance costs.
