Borderfree cross-border fulfillment service

Canada Post offers a new cross-border fulfillment capability for its Borderfree suite of solutions. The new Borderfree logistics service allows retailers to assume more control of the international distribution chain by preparing parcels in-house and employing Borderfree's two U.S. DCs to complete cross-border activities on the retailer's behalf.

The service includes the ability to print international shipping labels from within existing fulfillment systems or over the Web, a mechanism to electronically clear parcels through customs, and the generation of all documentation required in order for a retailer to drive its own parcels across the Canadian border and induct them directly into a Canada Post facility. Retailers will be able to assign international tracking numbers as parcels are being prepared, which allows for consistent management of delivery expectations with any international customer.
