ProShip to Feature the CVP-500 at PACK EXPO

Award-winning packing automation system will be showcased at ProShip Booth #9805

ProShip to Feature the CVP-500 at PACK EXPO

Brookfield, Wis., September 28, 2016 - ProShip, Inc., a Neopost company, today announced the award-winning CVP-500 will be featured in booth #9805 at PACK EXPO from November 6 - 9, 2016 in Chicago, Ill.

The CVP-500 is a unique packing automation system that optimizes package fulfillment by creating fit-to-size parcels in seconds. The system builds, fills, folds and labels each parcel in one seamless process and does the work of up to 10 packing stations, requiring only one operator. The system can even insert invoices, packing slips or return labels into each package for continuous flow. By creating a custom-fit parcel, less packing material is used, eliminating void fill and creating an environmentally friendly solution. The CVP-500 also reduces DIM weight costs to result in the lowest possible shipping costs.

ProShip will also be hosting a free 30-minute presentation on the Innovation Stage on November 7, 2016 at 12: 00 p.m. Scott Eggenberger, Director of Business Development/CVP-500, will discuss why the CVP-500 is the best solution for automated package fulfillment and how it can boost business.

ProShip experts will also be available to showcase this unique, fit-to-size packing solution at booth #9805 throughout PACK EXPO.

"We are excited to feature the CVP-500 at PACK EXPO. Attendees will be able to witness how this green product can optimize order fulfillment and provide increased efficiencies, as well as cost reductions," said Tim Casey, President and General Manager of ProShip, Inc.

Australian supermarket chain rolls out AI-powered grocery carts

Grocery shoppers in Australia will soon be able to zip in and out of the store in record time, bypassing the lines for cashiers or self-checkout kiosks altogether. They can just walk in, make their selections, and walk out with their bags in hand.

The secret to this express shopping experience is the “Caper Cart,” an AI (artificial intelligence)-powered smart trolley from San Francisco-based Instacart. In its first deployment in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, the system is being tested by Coles Supermarkets, a food and beverage retailer with more than 1,800 grocery and liquor stores throughout the country.

How green is your glue?

If you’re looking to make the packaging process more eco-friendly, the obvious place to start is with the box itself. And that’s exactly what Salt Lake City-based Packsize did when it made its initial foray into sustainable packaging back in 2002. That year, the company launched its first product, an innovative on-demand packaging system designed to reduce cardboard waste (and the need for filler material) by creating a right-sized box for each shipment.

Now the company is ready for the next step: greening up the glue.
