Cudahy, WI - March 21, 2016 - Roadrunner Transportation Systems, Inc. (NYSE: RRTS), a leading asset-light transportation and logistics service provider, announced today that Active Aero Group, a Roadrunner Transportation Systems company, was named a 2015 "Supplier of the Year" by General Motors.

This is the fourth time in the last six years that Active Aero Group has been recognized by GM as a Supplier of the Year award recipient. Roadrunner acquired Active Aero Group, a Belleville, Mich. based provider of air and ground expedited services, in 2014.

GM presented the awards at the automaker's 24th annual Supplier of the Year awards ceremony in Detroit, Mich. Supplier of the Year award winners from around the world were recognized for having consistently exceeded GM's expectations, created outstanding value or brought new innovations to the company.
"All of us at Active Aero Group (AAG) are thrilled to receive this prestigious award from General Motors. AAG prides itself on providing laser focused customer service, and the commitment to the flawless execution of our services. This award is a result of every AAG team member working collectively to realize these goals," said Dave Schembri, CEO of Active Aero Group with responsibility for the OEM division of Roadrunner.
"We are focused on building positive supplier relationships, bringing new, customer-centric innovations to GM, and being the OEM of choice among suppliers," said Steve Kiefer, GM Vice President, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain. "The companies we recognize not only have brought innovation, they delivered it with the quality our customers deserve."

The Supplier of the Year award winners are chosen by a global team of GM purchasing, engineering, quality, manufacturing and logistics executives.
