DC Velocity said today that Kate Lee, a renowned supply chain marketing and research strategist, has joined the magazine's team of bloggers.

Lee is marketing and research strategist for Fronetics Strategic Advisors, a Newburyport, Mass.-based consulting company in the supply chain, logistics, electronic distribution, electronic asset disposal, and their related after-market industries. Lee has nearly 20 years of domestic and international experience working with top industry executives and academics. Her skills include content development, business intelligence, demand generation, qualitative and quantitative research, social media, and strategic partnerships.

"I am delighted to be able to add to DC Velocity's growing portfolio of thought leadership," said Lee. "Today's supply chain executives must extend their skill set beyond operations and into nontraditional areas that are fast becoming mainstream. I hope my insights can enlighten the magazine's readership and, by extension, help them perform more effectively."

"Kate's work touches on elements of our field that are vitally important in doing business in today's climate," said Mitch Mac Donald, group editorial director, DC Velocity, and its sister publication, CSCMP's Supply Chain Quarterly. "For logisticians, who are traditionally operations-centric, Kate's views on content development, demand generation, and social media will help increase their awareness and understanding of those disciplines and of how to integrate them in their daily tasks. We welcome her to our blogger team and look forward to her regular posts."

Lee's blog can be found at http://blogs.dcvelocity.com/productivity/.

DCV-TV 4: Viewer Contributed
Recently, the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) released their 33rd Annual State of Logistics Report which is created by AT Kearny. I've viewed this as basically a "Report Card" for shippers and carriers since it offers a comprehensive view of what they both have dealt with in the past year,...
