Toyota Material Handling launches online parts store
Resource to serve rising consumer expectations for shopping availability and convenience, firm says.
Lift truck vendor Toyota Material Handling has launched an online parts store to serve as a 24/7 source for the online purchase of Toyota's more than 600,000 parts for forklifts and other material handling equipment, the company said today.
The MyToyota Store website allows Toyota forklift owners and technicians to find and buy Toyota Genuine Parts exclusively online via keyword search, part number search, or model and serial number search.
Orders are between the customer and the local Toyota dealer and ship from the dealer or from Toyota's distribution center in Columbus, Ind. Orders placed before 2 p.m. are eligible for expedited, next-day shipping.
Columbus, Ind.-based Toyota said it created the online resource to accommodate the next generation of material handling professionals and to ensure customer uptime. "We understand the expectations that our customers have around availability and convenience via other shopping methods in their daily lives," Nick Ostergaard, Manager for e-commerce sales & operations and marketing systems, said in a release. "Those expectations don't change in a professional setting; we wanted to meet and exceed those expectations and set a new standard for customer experience in the material handling industry."
Toyota Material Handling is the business unit of Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA) that includes Toyota Industrial Equipment Manufacturing (TIEM) and Toyota Material Handling USA (TMHU), which were unified under a single banner in January.
