Logistics software vendor project44 is partnering with freight payment solutions company U.S. Bank to provide on-demand, real-time access to carriers' Less-than-Truckload (LTL) and Less-than-Trailer (LT) freight documentation, the companies said this week.
The companies said they will integrate Orlando-based project44's Advanced Visibility Platform into the Naperville, Ill.-based U.S. Bank Freight Payment solution, allowing shippers to instantly view carriers' bills of lading, invoices, delivery receipts and weight certificates with a single click. The capability helps automate the audit exception process, reducing a process that previously took up to 72 hours down to just minutes, the companies said.
Through the partnership, U.S. Bank Freight Payment can provide shippers with real-time access to relevant audit exception documents from project44's global network of more than 175,000 carriers.
Todd Wilson, director of revenue management and customer integration at YRC Worldwide, one of the world's largest transportation and shipping companies, says the partnership will help streamline shipping and transportation processes.
"Our shippers increasingly demand more and faster access to freight documentation and other information they need to optimize their supply chains," he said "The new capabilities delivered by U.S. Bank Freight Payment and project44's partnership help us meet this need in a customer-centric way, by letting shippers access the audit exception documentation they want, in real-time. Plus, it frees our staff up from gathering and sending documentation, so they can work on more strategic, value-creating initiatives."
U.S. Bank and project44 made the announcement during LINK 2019, the Retail Industry Leaders Association conference, taking place this week in Orlando.
