Teknowlogi launches supply chain analytics product
Artificial intelligence platform can recommend and execute changes for shippers, brokers, carriers.
Logistics technology provider Teknowlogi has launched a supply chain analytics solution that uses similar artificial intelligence (AI) to the technology currently deployed in industries like medicine and stock trading, the company said Thursday.
The Kennesaw, Ga.-based company says its Logistics Expert System (LES) can assess, analyze, provide recommendations for, and execute change for numerous logistical and business situations that affect shipping industry players. Those include shippers, third-party logistics providers (3PLs), freight forwarders, less-than-truckload (LTL) brokers, truckload brokers, LTL carriers, truckload carriers, drayage carriers, cartage agents, couriers, and parcel carriers.
The cloud-based LES platform is powered by Teknowlogi's AI-driven platform, a product called Tai that incorporates business process management and consulting intelligence into its workflow. Together, LES and Tai combine transportation management systems (TMS), mobile intelligence (MI), integration intelligence (II), business intelligence (BI), consulting intelligence (CI), and AI in a single platform, Teknowlogi claims.
"Companies that continue to manage their logistics with outdated systems will be unable to compete," Teknowlogi CEO Spencer Askew said in a release. "Technology platforms that incorporate artificial intelligence are already being used to successfully emulate human decision-making in such complex areas as medical diagnosis and stock exchange trading. The logistics industry has a long-running and unmet need for this type of solution."
In addition, the firm's Tai Mobile Intelligence platform enables on-demand self-service for business-process and application programming interface (API) management for all types of asset carriers, 3PLs, and shippers. This one-stop shop enables end users to address "hot points" such as shipment visibility and shipment management, trailer management, and trailer/truck capacity management from any location, according to Teknowlogi.
Pricing for Tai and Tai Mobile Intelligence is based on monthly consumption.
