Labelmaster's DGIS Software, a leading application for managing dangerous goods shipping, has passed FedEx certification and is now a FedEx DG Ready solution.
Launched this month, FedEx DG Ready validates that a dangerous goods or hazardous materials shipment is ready for transport to FedEx Express, FedEx Ground or FedEx Freight. The program reduces the chances a shipment will be rejected due to an improperly prepared DG shipping declaration or hazardous materials shipping paper.
"Shipping dangerous goods can be a complicated, time-consuming process," said Forest Himmelfarb, vice president of software and services at Labelmaster. "Our strategy is to work closely with companies to improve supply chain shipping efficiency and automation when transporting hazmat and dangerous goods.
"The FedEx DG Ready program will save shippers valuable time and helps prepare hazardous materials shipments for safe and compliant transport," added Himmelfarb.
Companies utilizing Labelmaster's FedEx DG Ready DGIS solutions toolkit within its ERP/WMS can complete dangerous goods shipping papers, validate the shipment against the most current regulations and FedEx variations, and electronically transmit data to FedEx for preliminary validation and acceptance before shipping. DGIS Software also offers guidance for packaging, marking and labeling shipments.
