UniCarriers Americas Proudly Supports National Forklift Safety Day
At every level of the company, UniCarriers Americas (UCA) will be actively participating in the fifth National Forklift Safety Day on June 12.
UCA is a member of the Industrial Truck Association (ITA), and UCA executives will be in Washington, D.C., to discuss material handling safety and implementation of best practices alongside other ITA members, legislators, industry leaders, media, and government officials.
All across North America, UCA dealers are raising awareness of forklift safety by reaching out to local media and communicating the value of proper machine maintenance and operator training to customers. At two of UCA's factory-owned locations, New England Industrial Truck and Capital Equipment and Handling, free operator-training courses will be held to encourage and advance forklift safety.
"Through meticulous attention to detail and ongoing support and training for our employees and our customers, UniCarriers is committed to workplace safety all year long," says James J. Radous, President of UniCarriers Americas, Inc. and past Chairman of National Forklift Safety Day. "Contributing to events like National Forklift Safety Day brings us closer to eliminating forklift accidents completely."
UCA is a leader in advancing forklift safety and remains focused on providing customers with the tools they need to avoid injuries in the workplace. The top priority is creating a safe environment for those who work on and around forklifts.
National Forklift Safety Day aids in this cause by reaching an estimated audience of 60 million and driving home the importance of safety throughout the materials handling industry.
