Berkshire Grey showcases robotic each-picking, store replenishment, mobile robots

By DC Velocity Staff

Warehouse automation and robotics provider Berkshire Grey showcased its suite of fulfillment tools designed to help DCs balance the trends of ever-smaller orders with rising demand for more responsive flexibility. The Lexington, Mass.-based company showed a three-part solution, including:

  • an each-picking, stationary robot arm using vacuum-cup end-effectors to make bin-to-bin transfers of various goods;
  • a conveyor-based store replenishment system using mobile tilt-bins designed to hook up to an AS/RS or conveyor system; and
  • a fleet of mobile "FlexBot" robots that navigate along a specially tiled floor.
