By DC Velocity Staff

Yale Materials Handling Corp. showcased its suite of lift-truck power options at ProMat 2019, taking the opportunity to exhibit its range of traditional as well as alternative solutions. In an era focused on advanced, experimental technologies, Yale said its power suite offers customers solutions built around their unique requirements.

The Yale power suite includes:

  • Hydrogen fuel cells, which allow users to refuel in as little as three minutes and get consistent power until depletion;
  • Lithium-ion batteries, which offer simple opportunity charging, zero battery maintenance, and consistent performance in extreme temperatures;
  • Lead-acid batteries, which offer low initial acquisition costs and can place a milder charging burden on electrical infrastructure;
  • Internal-combustion engines, which provide consistent, high power for even the toughest jobs, with fast refueling and durability, the company said.

"Just as equipment and workflows are tailored to unique operational requirements, businesses can reap substantial efficiency gains from a lift-truck power solution designed around them," said Steven LaFevers, vice president, motive power and telematics, Yale Materials Handling Corp. "The breadth and depth of our power offering enables the best option possible for our customers, all with the confidence of OEM support."
