Yusen Logistics chooses Manhattan Associates WMS to standardize global fulfillment operations
By DC Velocity Staff
Manhattan Associates Inc. said Wednesday that multinational third-party logistics (3PL) company Yusen Logistics is deploying Manhattan's warehouse and distribution management solution, Manhattan Scale, as the fulfillment engine to support Yusen's global operations.
The Manhattan solution, being implemented on the Microsoft Azure cloud-based platform, will support ongoing business growth across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), Asia-Pacific (APAC), and Americas regions, Manhattan said during the ProMat 2017 trade show in Chicago.
Having operated with various vendor systems, Yusen made the decision to standardize on a single warehouse management solution (WMS) that could be deployed globally and provide the requisite level of service consistency, Manhattan said in a statement.
"We chose Manhattan Scale as our strategic fulfillment solution based on a number of factors, including functionality, extensibility, ease and speed of implementation, global support capability, and total cost of solution ownership," said Tony Gudger, CIO at Yusen Logistics Europe.
Yusen plans to use Manhattan Scale for the full gamut of local and global customer order fulfillment operations, spanning relatively small, single-site distribution hubs to multi-site, multichannel, high-volume throughput supply networks, Manhattan said.
