Material handling systems manufacturer Rite-Hite unveiled two new products at Modex—an HVLS (high-volume, low-speed) direct-drive fan and its trailer stabilizer both of which will be available in July of this year. The direct-drive fan features a 1.5-horsepower motor and the same blade design as the company's 2-horsepower model, and does not use oil to run. Ideal for clean environments such as pharmaceutical and food processing, the HVLS fan is quiet and is lighter, saving on energy costs and installation, the company says.
The company's trailer stabilizer is designed with a wide base, which keeps the trailer stable after it's been disconnected from its cab. The hand crank allows operators to lower the stabilizer and manually roll it away from the trailer when not in use. The biggest benefit, the company says, it that this product requires no tilting or tipping when attaching or detaching the stabilizer, keeping operators and forklift drivers safe.
