Panel Built Prefabricated Shelters Can Help Boost Safety and Security at a Moment's Notice

February 7, 2020
No Comments

Panel Built, Inc. fabricates a number of different structures and buildings that are designed to increase the safety and security of a facility or property. However, one of the more overlooked products in this category are Panel Built's prefabricated shelters. Panel Built designs prefabricated shelters to solve a variety of problems with applications ranging from bus shelters to machine operating shelters. These structures are primarily built in order to offer an escape from harsh weather conditions. And, built from a heavy-duty, welded steel design, Panel Built's prefab shelters certainly can withstand even the heaviest winds and storms, carrying up to a 180-mph wind load. They offer the perfect environment for transit passengers to escape rain and high winds, and can even be enclosed and outfitted with heating and air to offer climate control as well.
However, when considering prefabricated shelters, many overlook the security advantages the structures provide. In high risk areas, bus and transit shelters can be areas where people have to wait for long periods of time, sometimes at night and sometimes all by themselves. In these instances, prefabricated shelters can create a safer environment for people while they wait. The first step many take involves creating a well-lit transit stop that offers the pedestrians a 360-degree view of their surroundings, eliminating any blind spots. However, additional security measures can be incorporated into the shelter design as well. Emergency alarm buttons and security cameras are growing in demand as a part of bus stop designs. These measures not only work to catch criminals in case of a crime, but also act as a deterrent, helping to keep any harmful act from occurring in the first place.
Panel Built was founded in 1995 by brothers Pat and Mike Kiernan, and began with the construction of pre-manufactured buildings. Today, Panel Built offers a complete line of custom modular offices, mezzanines, security booths, pre-assembled exterior buildings, and cleanrooms. Panel Built prefabricated shelters are designed 100% to customer specification and are delivered to the project site pre-assembled and ready for installation. Panel Built offers "A Better Way to Create Space" for all of your building projects.
