EnerSys Restructures Charger Portfolio According to Performance and Charging Profiles

July 30, 2019
No Comments

READING, Pennsylvania, July 30, 2019 - EnerSys® (NYSE:ENS), the global leader in stored energy solutions for industrial applications, recently announced a restructure of its Motive Power chargers portfolio. The battery charger offering is now organized according to performance and charging profiles, making it easier for the consumer to clearly identify the charging program required to meet their battery power demands. Each charger offers unique attributes to ensure the consistent delivery of outstanding performance for a variety of battery cHemiätries, battery sizes and required charging profiles.

"We are excited to reorganize our state-of-the-art line of battery chargers to the material handling industry," said Chad Uplinger, vice president, Motive Power Americas at EnerSys. "No matter the charging profile required, EnerSys chargers benefit from a flexible, modular design to maintain peak performance and output to keep our customers' operations running efficiently and profitably."

With some of the lowest component counts in the industry, EnerSys Motive Power chargers are designed to provide reliability and easier serviceability so operators can worry less about maintenance protocols and more on the job at hand. EnerSys Motive Power charger brands include:

IMPAQTM chargers - this high-frequency, value-packed charging solution is equipped with the latest technology and standard flooded lead acid battery, opportunity, cold storage, de-sulphation and auto-equalization charge profiles. IMPAQTM chargers now also include the proprietary NexSys® block and standard 2-Volt charge profile.
NexSys®+ chargers - for added performance and value, these chargers employ the NexSys® fast charge profile as well as the EnerSys proprietary IONICTM charge profile to continuously diagnose and optimize battery condition throughout the charging process. For maximum cost savings, the IONICTM charge profile allows one charger to service multiple direct current (DC) voltages and battery capacities. Excludes standard flooded and Express® fast charge profiles.
Express® chargers - these chargers increase productivity by quickly and safely charging fast-charge batteries anytime during the work day. They are designed exclusively for Express® batteries and feature innovative Active Temperature/Output Management technology to ensure optimal power productivity.
Each charger is equipped with a programmable menu or analytics technology to maximize charging performance and provide enhanced diagnostics and feedback to the operator to guarantee a successful charge at every plug-in. The restructured charger line is exclusively designed to deliver a customized experience that seamlessly meets universal charging requirements to ensure maximum and long-term power for material handling operations.
