RAYMOND LAUNCHES INDUSTRY'S TALLEST HIGH-CAPACITY REACH-FORK® TRUCK AT MODEX 2018

New High Dynamic Range Vantage Point® camera offers better visibility and performance

GREENE, N.Y., April 9, 2018 — The Raymond Corporation will introduce a new, integrated high-capacity reach truck today at MODEX 2018. Answering the customer need for warehouse productivity and efficiency, the Raymond High-capacity Reach-Fork® truck lifts up to 4,500 pounds and reaches an industry-leading 542 inches. The new truck will be showcased alongside other Raymond innovations, including the Raymond Virtual Reality Simulator, at Booth B3747 throughout MODEX 2018.

"Warehouses are constantly evolving, and our goal is to adapt our products to proactively address the challenges that customers face as a result. Our new high-capacity reach truck is the perfect example of this as it allows customers to go higher than ever before, better using their available warehouse space," said Michael Field, CEO, Raymond. "With smart, leading-edge technology and dependable trucks, Raymond is helping solve supply chain and logistics challenges while enabling customers to achieve maximum productivity and visibility."

The Raymond® High-capacity Reach-Fork truck not only enables customers to optimize taller buildings and store heavy pallets in almost any location, but also keeps operators running with a longer battery shift life. Ideal for cold storage and freezer applications, the high-capacity truck allows pallet storage from eight to 10 levels for potentially 25 percent more storage in warehouses. Like other trucks in the Raymond Reach-Fork truck line, this new high-capacity truck offers integrated telematics capabilities to increase efficiency, and universal stance and open-view mast for better visibility and ergonomics.

Raymond's superior energy efficiency is achieved even with increased lift and lower speeds due, in part, to an optimized displacement pump, which allows the motor to operate more efficiently for longer battery shift life and more pallets moved per hour.

Additional visual assistance while performing pallet storage and retrieval tasks at greater lift heights is achieved using the new Vantage Point camera now available on all reach trucks. With updated technology from automotive-grade image sensors, the Vantage Point camera has a High Dynamic Range (HDR) image sensor. The HDR sensor offers both low- and high-light performance simultaneously, which is helpful to operators as warehouses typically have both — especially in tall warehouses.

Throughout MODEX 2018, Raymond also is showcasing interconnectivity between the digital and physical worlds through the Raymond Reach-Fork truck series, which are now integrated with technologies and scalable telematics options to enhance the operator experience and increase productivity. These trucks feature an integrated industry-exclusive 7-inch multifunction color display with touch-screen functionality and an intuitive interface. The display is an information center for the industry's most comprehensive and scalable telematics solution, iWAREHOUSE Evolution™. As business needs change, this scalable platform evolves with the customer, so efficiency and productivity can continuously be improved while also identifying opportunities to reduce costs.

Along with the Raymond Reach-Fork truck series, the Raymond Virtual Reality Simulator with patent-pending Simulation Port (sPort) will be featured at MODEX 2018. The first of its kind, the simulator offers instructional education modules on an actual truck, providing advanced, hands-on instruction to improve operator proficiency and build confidence.

Show attendees can visit Booth B3747 to learn more about these innovations, as well as the Raymond Courier™ 3030 Stacker Automated Lift Truck, Raymond Model 8720 2nd level orderpicker with elevated platform, Raymond Model 8410 pallet truck with 2nd level pick steps option and Raymond Model 8250 AC walkie pallet jack with double-power-capacity lithium-ion battery.
