Airspace Technologies launches app enabling real-time location monitoring of time-critical shipments

CARLSBAD, CA, May 2, 2017 - Airspace Technologies, a technology-enabled logistics company specializing in time-critical shipments, announced today that the Driver Partner App is now available for download on the App Store and Google Play.

The Driver Partner App integrates with the Airspace web-based technology platform and prompts the driver through the entire delivery process allowing shippers to track package locations. This united platform provides shippers with true end-to-end tracking and visibility, including airline status and estimated time of delivery. Each time the package changes hands, it is validated by the mobile application and geotagged so shippers can view the live location down to the vehicle it is traveling in at that exact moment.

"By automating an antiquated industry, Airspace enables shippers to track time-critical shipments in real-time," said Nick Bulcao, CEO and Founder, Airspace Technologies. "Other companies play a game of telephone when a customer calls a forwarder who passes information to dispatch who passes it along to the driver and so on. Without automation there is a chance for data to get lost or changed at every gap."

Airspace generates a unique ID for every piece in a shipment and the mobile application allows drivers to verify that every piece on every order is accounted for at every step in the process. Drivers also capture digital signatures when the package is picked up from the customer and delivered.

?Most forwarders have no idea where a shipment is located at any given moment,? said Ryan Rusnak, CTO, Airspace Technologies. ?Our mobile application provides a huge amount of data that we use as leading indicators of potential delays. Customers can even geofence areas so they receive custom notifications when their shipment enters a designated area.?

Airspace is quick to mention that the most important part of the application is the driver. The Airspace platform intelligently selects the best driver for an order based on location, certification and vehicle type. Once a driver is verified to drive with Airspace, they can log into the Driver Partner App. Prospective drivers can register at drivers.airspacetechnologies.com. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.
