New MGB Series Regenerative SCR Control for OEM Applications

October 14, 2016
No Comments

SOUTH BELOIT, IL - American Control Electronics (ACE) announces the MGB Series, a fully regenerative SCR (silicon controlled rectifier) control that maintains the industry-standard mounting pattern and footprint developed by ACE. The drive has a streamlined, minimal design: power in, power out, speed pot, direction switch and stop/start switch. The simplicity of design keeps the cost low while making installation and operation easier; a microprocessor allows for easy custom programming where needed. The MGB Series is specifically engineered for OEM applications that require a controlled deceleration, braking or instant reversing, such as indexers, lift pumps, agitators and conveyors. The MGB Series is for use with permanent magnet DC motors only.
Features include:
• AC Voltage Input: 115/230 VAC
• Armature Output: 90/180 VDC
• Armature Current: 8 Amps, 11 Amps if heat synced
