American Crane & Equipment Corp.'s Cargo Lift Vacuum Lifters and Manipulators can lift objects weighing a few pounds to several tons.

The devices can either be free-standing or attached to a forklift truck. This equipment uses industrial-strength vacuum suction to grip and lift boxes, pails, drums, kegs, and sheets of material. Vacuum lifters can reduce the time spent loading boxes and other material onto a pallet while also reducing the number of injuries suffered on the job, according to American Crane.
