TruCheck 2D UV barcode verifier

Webscan Inc., a provider of barcode verification solutions, has released a new system capable of verifying invisible two-dimensional (2D) bar codes that are visible only under UV light.

The TruCheck 2D UV is the first commercially available handheld 2D barcode verifier for invisible barcodes used in security applications such as track and trace, according to Webscan. The new barcode verifier incorporates UV wavelength LEDs and a UV sensitive CCD camera.

The TruCheck 2D UV allows printers to verify the readability of invisible bar codes, according to Webscan. The solution is operated by Webscan's software interface, which can verify 1D (linear) and two-dimensional bar codes. Detailed reports are generated and stored automatically.
