Loading dock equipment manufacturer Rite-Hite has introduced a new version of its Dok-Lok vehicle restraint that can be used with overseas container chassis.
Like Rite-Hite's other Dok-Loks, the new RHR-4000 hooks onto the rear impact guard to prevent all types of trailer-separation accidents from such things as early departure and landing gear collapse as well as trailer creep, pop up, upending, and tip over. The RHR-4000 differs from previous Dok-Loks because its rotating hook restraint can secure onto overseas container chassis, which typically have a plate or obstruction about the rear impact guard.
The RHR-4000 also offers a water- and dust-resistant IP66-rated motor and a longer-lasting, corrosion-resistant finish that meets the ASTM B117 testing standard.
All Rite-Hite restraints come standard with the Rite-Vu Light Communication System, including Corner Vu (which provides Dok-Lok status-at-a-glance to the forklift driver before entering the trailer) and Leveler-Vu (which confirms Dok-Lok status to the forklift driver while inside the trailer).
