Nissan Forklift Corp. has added the APX Advanced AC-Powered Walkie Pallet Truck to its line of pallet trucks. Rated at 4,000-pounds capacity, the APX pallet truck is good for manufacturing, grocery, and general warehouse operations.
The APX's short trucklength and narrow width, makes it easy to maneuver in small warehouses or tight settings. Additionally, the truck is very stable, says the company. It has a robust chassis with a rugged steel skirt that rides on four continuous contact points. This reduces load sway when the truck is traveling fast, around corners, and on uneven floors.
The APX has an offset tiller arm, which allows the operator to walk beside the truck. This design feature provides better fork tip visibility, according to the company.
Smart electronics paired with the brushless AC-drive motor make the APX a low-maintenance option for warehouse applications. At startup, the APX runs a self-check and alerts the operator of any error codes. The on-board diagnostics system provides easy troubleshooting and eliminates the need for a separate diagnostic handset. The brushless AC-drive motor keeps operating costs low with fewer wear components and a simple control harness design.
