Tite-Space BST AGV Tugger

Designed for applications where turns are tight and aisles are narrow, Creform Corp.'s Tite-Space BST AGV Tugger offers a minimum turning radius of 400 mm (17.5 inches). This new automatic guided vehicle consists of a drive motor, 24-volt DC power supply, and guidance sensors. It travels in a single direction along a magnetic tape guidepath at speeds of 4 to 50 meters (13 to 164 feet) per minute.

The tugger is designed to glide under stationary pushcarts, engaging the cart by extending a catch pin into the cart's BST interface. The BST unit then conveys the cart to the required workstations or to load/unload points farther along the magnetic guidepath, and retracts the pin to disengage the cart. It is then free to travel elsewhere and move additional carts.

The Tite-Space unit boasts a maximum towed weight/draw bar of 1,320 pounds, depending on floor conditions and caster selection.
