Smart Gate XL pick-to-light systems

SpeasTech, which makes automated pick-to-light systems, has doubled the off-the-shelf offering of its Smart Gate XL pick-to-light systems. Originally available with infrared sensing windows of 6-, 12-, or 18-inch heights, the line has been expanded to include 24-, 30-, and 36-inch heights. All of these heights are offered as standard equipment with little or no lead time required for orders. The width of the sensing windows remains up to eight feet as needed.

Smart Gate XL is a flexible single bin system, allowing a user to create an automated pick-to-light solution in a wide variety of preexisting shelf or rack units. The product can be easily re-purposed as a company's needs change. Multiple Smart Gate systems can be controlled via SpeasTech Smart Product Controllers, PCs, or PLCs, which can detect picks, reduce error rates, and improve inventory control. An audible alarm sounds when an incorrect pick is attempted. Smart Gate supports both pick-to-light and put-tolight applications.
