Motorola's MC70 flagship mobile computer connects people and products to information resources, making them more efficient and responsive to customers. Now the company has introduced a new version of the MC70, featuring integrated global positioning system (GPS) capability. The new GPS allows organizations with field-based employees, such as postal and delivery companies, to track and manage dynamic real-time tasking, as well as verify specific locations of activities.
The MC70 mobile computer features a lightweight, ergonomic design along with the ability to withstand the rigors of everyday use in harsh environments. Protected against a variety of environmental risks, including frequent drops to concrete and exposure to water, dust, and extreme temperatures, the MC70 is optimized for both indoor and outdoor applications.
The GPS locating functionality in the MC70 now allows users to ensure that their pickups and deliveries occur at the right place at the right time. Using SIRF III technology, the MC70 GPSenabled unit provides feature-rich functionality, including bar-code data and signature capture in addition to wide-area connectivity with support for high-speed EDGE networks, wireless 802.11a/b/g networks, and Bluetooth.
