PC-Miler Web Services

October 1, 2007
No Comments

ALK Technologies Inc., a developer of global routing, mileage, mapping, and route GPS navigation software, has introduced PC-Miler Web Services. PC-Miler Web Services allows users to integrate ALK Technologies' core PC-Miler application into other Web services or .NET applications without time-consuming custom coding. The PC-Miler application helps users manage transportation costs, routes, actual driven mileage, driver satisfaction, surcharges, and toll costs.

The integration can be done regardless of the IT infrastructure, via an interface developed in Microsoft.NET. It is also compatible with virtually any other platform or operating system, including UNIX, Java, and Perl. This makes it easier for companies to share PC-Miler data, such as routing, mileage, and mapping transactions, and improve efficiency. The interface is transparent to the end-user, who simply sees updated PCMiler data available in a usable format.

Users can choose from one of four service options: Lite, Standard, Premium, and Enterprise. The Lite option offers core PC-Miler functionality. The other three full-featured levels provide additional capabilities, such as streetlevel routing, truck-specific toll costs, and mapping.
