Aldata Solution Inc., a company that provides software solutions for the retail industry, has enhanced its G.O.L.D. Core Retail Suite. The new software upgrades include the addition of product information management (PIM) capabilities to the system's Item and Price Management Module. This allows buyers to enter and validate supplier data quickly and securely without actually importing the data into the G.O.L.D. database. Overall, PIM enables retailers to reduce contract timeframes and increase data integrity.
Additional upgrades to the new service oriented architecture (SOA) modules include extensions to G.O.L.D. Mobile, Aldata's in-store mobile operations solution. The enhancements enable store ordering, inventory management, out-of-stock management and retail price management to be executed via a handheld device. This module extends G.O.L.D.'s ability to reference headquarters' centralized data directly in real time to store mobile end users. Aldata also is adding functionality to its WMS solution set.
In addition, Aldata's Distribution Center Capacity Planning Module includes supervision and planning management that enables retailers to optimize limited labor resources based on actual and expected inventory movements.
