Psion Teklogix has made improvements to its Workabout Pro line of rugged hand-held computers with the power to run advanced applications. The units deliver reliable performance in harsh environments and can withstand drops onto hard surfaces from heights of up to four feet. With their color touch-screen and scanner options, these units are suitable for signature capture and barcode scanning applications. The enhancements to the product line include 1D and 2D image readers, a high-frequency RFID reader, a wide-area wireless communications PC Card Radio Kit, and Windows Mobile as an alternative platform to Windows CE .NET.
