Westfalia Technologies has released Version 4 of its warehouse management software, Savanna.NET. Designed for all types of industrial environments, including automated and conventional warehouses, Savanna.NET is a completely modular WMS system, providing control, system flexibility and user-friendliness. With this modular structure, Savanna.NET can be adapted to individual logistics requirements and can be easily integrated into existing or new structures. Customers can invest only in those functions they really need, implement highly specialized modifications and expand their systems incrementally with full or partial upgrades to keep their data organized and instantly accessible.
A new user interface in Version 4 is designed to make operation easier. By using a tabbed data grid view, Savanna.NET optimizes monitor space and eliminates the need for complicated menus or layers. Using Westfalia Technology's own Adaptable Architecture, the spreadsheetstyle tabbed grid views are based on the objects that they represent, rather than actions. Savanna.NET was designed using Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and Version 2.0 of the Microsoft .NET Framework. Its open .NET architecture allows linkup of logistical data registration and processing via Web surface-based (XML) platforms. Interface add-ons include pick-to-light, wireless RF terminals and pick-tovoice components.
