NEXT Announces Three New Executive Hires

May 1, 2019
No Comments

NEXT, the technology-driven logistics company offering the world's first trucker-centric freight matching platform, today announced that Jim Patterson has joined the company as Chief Product Officer, Bobby Napiltonia joined as Chief Revenue Officer, and Lyndal Larkin joined as Head of People. All three appointees will be reporting directly to NEXT's co-founder and CEO Lidia Yan.

"As NEXT continues to execute on its aggressive growth strategy, we are committed to the long-term strategic development of our team. That is why we're thrilled to announce that Jim, Bobby, and Lyndal have joined the organization," said Lidia Yan, co-founder and CEO of NEXT. "All three executives have proven track records in their respective areas of expertise and will strengthen our growing leadership team."

Patterson is a seasoned product leader with decades of experience leading product, design, and multi-functional teams at prominent venture-backed startups in Silicon Valley. Most recently, Patterson served as Chief Product Officer for online lender, Earnest Inc, where he led product management, design, and GM teams responsible for programmatically merchandising, underwriting, and servicing customer loans. He also spent 5 years at Google and YouTube.

Napiltonia is a veteran entrepreneur with over 30 years' experience in sales, marketing, strategy, and business development. He brings his experience building and growing some of the largest and most successful ecosystems that have transformed industries and ultimately the customers who benefit from their services. Most recently, Napiltonia served as Executive Vice President of Sales and Strategic Partnerships at Enlightened Inc. Prior to that he served as Chief Revenue Officer at Twilio and as Senior Vice President of WorldWide Channels and Alliances at Salesforce.com where he created the Salesforce AppExchange. Other companies that have relied on his operational excellence for driving customer success include Creative Technologies, BEA Systems, and eMeter.

Larkin is a seasoned tactical leader and executive coach with over 15 years' experience building teams as a strategic business partner at various companies, most recently as Senior Vice President of People at Chef'd, a B2B and B2C logistics tech company offering meal kits online and in stores. She also previously worked at global luxury travel retailer DFS as head of HR for North America. Larkin is focused on doubling NEXT's workforce (adding over 200 new people) by the end of 2019 -- recruiting for both tech talent and traditional logistics/broker positions.

"The trucking and logistics industries are going through highly transformative times, and I believe NEXT is uniquely positioned to lead the charge," said Larkin. "NEXT is at such an exciting time of growth and has made incredible progress in disrupting the $800 billion logistics industry. I am looking forward to being part of a brand that is at the helm of both logistics and technology, helping to dramatically improve the lives of truckers."
