FLEXSPACE SHOWCASES SEMI-AUTOMATED HIGH DENSITY STORAGE SOLUTIONS AT CIC

Cheese, butter and whey manufacturers will see how semi-automated storage systems from FLEXSPACE can dramatically reduce costs and increase revenue

SOUTH CAROLINA - February 28, 2019 - FLEXSPACE | Storax will be exhibiting at the Wisconsin Cheese Industry Conference at booth 202, featuring its high density, semi-automated storage solutions which help cheese manufacturers maximize cold storage capacity without increasing the building's footprint.

"Over 2,400 cheese leaders and suppliers attend this premier industry event, which provides us an excellent forum to showcase our high density storage solutions, experience, and dedication to the industry," Todd Jessup, principal at FLEXSPACE. "The cold storage industry is seeking high density storage solutions that maximize capacity while reducing operating costs; are retrofittable; and can handle the rigors of extreme environments."

Poweracks, the high density mobile racking system, has been used throughout Europe for over 50 years with applications in 60 countries. Poweracks is a highly-engineered, mobile storage system geared for cold storage, heavy inventory, and unique storage configurations. By eliminating static aisle space and converting it to usable storage capacity, organizations can maximize storage space without sacrificing accessibility.

Gossner Foods, a leader in the cheese and dairy industries with three locations in western United States, elected to recently expand its use of Poweracks which it first started using in the late 1990s.

"We first utilized Poweracks at our Logan, Utah plant. We immediately realized the benefits Poweracks, mobile racking systems, over static racking systems: greater storage capacity; greater product accessibility; and energy conservation," said Dave Larsen, plant manager at Gossner Foods. "Over the last two decades as we've systematically grown our operations, we've continued to install Poweracks; it just makes good business sense."

Poweracks by Storax is an exceptionally versatile high density mobile racking system, increasing storage capacity by as much as 100%. Comprised of a racking superstructure installed to a powered mobile base, Poweracks replaces conventional static aisle space with one moving aisle. This unique design combines direct access to each pallet location while also providing substantial increase in storage density.
