Jacksonville, FL - The JZ Expedited Companies is pleased to announce the promotion of Chris Sloope from Vice President of Sales & International Operations to Chief Operating Officer. Since Joining JZ, Chris has developed and directed the growth of JZ's international department, led sales efforts and most recently begun assisting in managing day to day operations of the 6 various business units.
The new role will formally focus Sloope on leading the daily and future activities of all JZ Expedited Companies including: JAX Global Cargo, North Florida Warehouse FTZ, JZ Expedited Logistics, JZ Expedited Trucking, JZI Global Supply Chain Management and Florida Tobacco Traders. "Chris has over 20-years of industry experience and the necessary tools to help JZ continue our growth into a market leader in the logistics and FTZ warehousing space. Sloope will continue to be an integral part of the rapid expansion of The JZ Companies," said Robert Fox, CEO & President of the JZ Expedited Companies.
Prior to joining the JZ Expedited Companies in February of 2017, Sloope enjoyed a 11-year career with Crowley Maritime most notably leading their inside sales department and starting their project cargo division. Subsequently, he served an 8 year tenure as Vice President for Americas World Group (AWG) the Tampa, FL based holding company for Construction Materials International, Globalnex and Kompas Line, all with focuses on the importation, exportation, manufacturing, global sales and freight forwarding of building materials.
