Los Angeles - October 30, 2018 - CBRE today announced that veteran industrial real estate leader John Morris will join the company as the Americas Industrial & Logistics (I&L) Leader.
"John is deeply experienced in supply chain strategy, network design and location strategy and is the ideal executive to help CBRE build on the strong momentum that we have in our Industrial & Logistics business," said Jack Durburg, CBRE's Global Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Morris will join CBRE in November of 2019 in order to abide by the terms of his employment agreement with his former employer. Adam Mullen, who has been named Market Leader for the Philadelphia region effective on January 1, 2019, will continue to have strategic oversight for CBRE's Industrial & Logistics business until Mr. Morris arrives. In addition, CBRE's Chris Zubel and Nicole Bennett will take on increased responsibilities in the I&L Investor and I&L Occupier businesses, respectively.
Mr. Morris previously led the Americas Industrial & Logistics business at Cushman & Wakefield. He also helped to lead the strategy for Cushman and Wakefield's retail business and worked to integrate logistics projects into the service of its retail clients. Additionally, he oversaw the Incentives Practice, which negotiated and secured relocation and investment incentives for clients from state and local government agencies.
Mr. Morris has been an industry leader in network design and site selection for fulfillment, distribution and manufacturing operations. He has an extensive background in leading complex supply chain strategy initiatives, integrating critical location analysis and helping companies transform their logistics network into a competitive advantage.
Mr. Morris is an active member of CSCMP, SIOR, and NAIOP. He received an MBA from UCLA's Anderson School of Management and a BA in Economics from Duke University. He resides in the Chicago area.
