Elkridge, MD - November 28, 2017 - ICAT Logistics, Inc. (ICAT), a leading agency-based global freight forwarder, announces today that it has appointed Michael Alsop as Executive Director of Corporate Operations and Compliance. Michael brings 38 years of logistics experience to ICAT, touching on all transportation modes throughout his seasoned career.

In his new role, Alsop will focus on various responsibilities on the operational and compliance side of the business, including:

• Developing solutions for ICAT's field operations teams allowing for expanded service offerings and revenue opportunities;
• Solidifying relationships with all domestic and international vendors; and
• Identifying areas of mutual benefit that will help strengthen overall business relations.

"With Michael on the team, he will be providing a huge focus on our internal operational processes, as well as forming stronger relationships with our vendors and agents located across the globe," says Rick Campbell, ICAT's President and CEO. "His expansive logistical background will be a huge asset to the corporate office, as well as our agencies."

Hann Livingston, Chief Growth Officer at ICAT Logistics, adds, "I have known and worked with Michael for many years, and I am certain his energy, passion and knowledge-base will help all of our agency partners reach their potential."

"I am thrilled to have joined ICAT," says Alsop. "Rick, his executive team, and everyone in the corporate office have really impressed me with their 'Agency First' attitude, wanting to continue to expand a system where the operating agency in the field is the top priority. This is aligned with my own philosophy that if the field succeeds because we have supplied them with the best-in-class tools and solutions, then we will all succeed."

Immediately prior to joining ICAT, Michael served as General Manager at a large U.S.-based logistics provider's Philadelphia terminal. This location that he oversaw was consistently ranked #1 in growth, revenue, and profitability throughout the provider's network of 150+ sites.

Alsop attended Loyola-Marymount University in Los Angeles where he holds degrees in Economics and History. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with this family exploring the tidewater area of Virginia.
