ADVANCE PARTNERS WITH UTAH JOB CORPS TO TRAIN WELDERS

November 1, 2017
No Comments

Advance Storage Products, a premier structural rack manufacturer, has partnered with the Clearfield Job Corps Center in Clearfield, UT to bring students in for on-the-job training in welding. Advance has brought in more than 30 students since January and 90% have gone on to secure full-time welding jobs. After appropriate safety training, students work alongside welders to gain experience working on actual company products. Two of the students have become full-time employees at Advance.

According to Steve Rankin, Work-Based Learning Coordinator at Clearfield Job Corps, "Advance is our number one site for student training. We know that Advance will train the welders properly and prepare them well for a full-time welding job. We greatly appreciate and look forward to continuing our partnership with Advance."
Advance Weld Supervisor and Job Corps graduate Shane Andrews, said, "The students from Job Corps are hard-working, eager to learn and are actually helping us produce product in the plant."
