Las Vegas, Nevada - September 25, 2017 - CHEP's commitment to the adoption and application of emerging technologies is helping consumer packaged goods companies create an efficient and sustainable supply chain that can adapt to rapidly shifting consumer and marketplace demands, according to analysis and case studies presented by company executives at PACK EXPO 2017.
"The consumer packaged goods sector is experiencing more and faster change than ever before," said Jason Adlam, Vice President of New Business Development, CHEP USA. "And that is why we continue to invest in advanced testing and analysis technology, and digital intelligence capabilities, to help customers redesign their supply chains to be more efficient, more sustainable and more responsive to unpredictable marketplace changes."
On the PACK EXPO exhibit floor and during four different sessions at the Reusable Packaging Learning Center, executives from CHEP Supply Chain Solutions, CHEP Pallecon Solutions (containers) and BXB Digital are discussing the latest solutions that are helping to optimize the supply chain. Unit load simulation software, technologies powered by the Internet of Things (IoT) and innovative store fulfillment solutions are helping customers drive efficiency, reduce costs and increase sales.
For instance, CHEP has utilized a collaborative approach to generate more than $60 million in customer value in the past two years. During the same time, customers made their supply chains more sustainable by? eliminating more than 4 million empty truck miles resulting in the removal of 16.2 million pounds of CO2 from their transportation networks.
Separately, CHEP's technology-driven packaging performance solutions have delivered more than $1 million in savings and an ROI of up to 400% for customers. The solutions were developed as the result of extensive analysis, supply chain modeling and verification testing conducted at the ISTA-certified CHEP Innovation Center.
Established in 2016, BXB Digital provides data-driven supply chain logistics solutions that connect physical platforms with digital capabilities that enable visibility of goods as they move through the supply chain. By combining deep data science techniques, cutting-edge IoT technologies and Software as a Service, BXB Digital enables a more connected, intelligent and efficient supply chain.
