Los Angeles - January 6, 2017 - CBRE Group, Inc. hired Senior Vice President Eloy Covarrubias and Vice President Joseph Werdein to join the firm with a focus on the acquisition and disposition of land and industrial properties in Southern California. The team will be based out of CBRE's Ontario office.

Covarrubias has more than 15 years of experience and proven leadership in real estate development and industrial sales and lease brokerage. Prior to joining CBRE, Covarrubias was at Lee & Associates where he was responsible for land assemblages, landlord representation, tenant representation and investment sales. He has been an integral part of the development and leasing of approximately 50 million square feet and the sale of 2,000 acres in the Inland Empire.

"Eloy's greatest asset is his knowledge of the Southern California market and ability to understand and provide outstanding outcomes for his clients," said Managing Director Joe Cesta. "A list of his growing clientele include all of the major institutional investors and development firms in Southern California."

Werdein commenced his career in 2006 at Lee & Associates. He continues to focus on land acquisition, assemblages, and disposition of industrial land and buildings. He has considerable experience in underwriting and marketing land for private and public entities, as well as representing institutional clients in the sale and leasing of industrial product in the Inland Empire. Werdein has been a key component in sourcing some of the largest land, and lease transactions in the Inland Empire over the last five years.

"Eloy and Joe bring a deep knowledge of the Inland Empire industrial market and provide CBRE with one of the Inland Empire's top teams with extensive experience in land development and assemblages," said Cesta. "As a team, they employ an energetic and refreshing outlook on how to better serve their clients and will make a great addition to CBRE and the Ontario office."

Adds Covarrubias "Our immediate goal is to grow the development platform in the region, with the long term objective of providing our clients a single source brokerage for ground up development."

What happens to your supply chain when chaos meets confusion?

Over the last several months, I’ve given many presentations about the events and potential changes impacting supply chains.
