August 8, 2016
No Comments

BOSTON, MA - August 8, 2016 - Symphony EYC, the leading provider of software and services for retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers, today announced two new appointments: Brian Gillis, general manager, Americas, and Adriano Araujo, general manager, Latin America. With deep domain expertise in customer-centric solutions, both Brian Gillis and Adriano Araujo will help grow the market for the new Symphony Cloud Retail solutions throughout the Americas.
Symphony Retail Cloud solutions combine market data with best-in-class software to provide retailers and FMCG companies with all of the real-time and role-based intelligence needed to achieve maximum bottom-line business results. For retailers, Symphony Retail Cloud helps to make the product and category trade-offs necessary to drive revenue growth two percent or more from an increase in trips and baskets from their best customers. For FMCGs, these solutions enable deeper data-driven collaboration as well as the ability to influence consumer purchases resulting in increased brand share.
Based in Chicago, IL, Brian Gillis, General Manager, Americas, will oversee all of Symphony EYC operations throughout North America and Latin America. This will include managing existing customers Ahold, Albertsons/Safeway, Hy-Vee and Rite-Aid, as well as new business development. Before coming to Symphony EYC, Gillis worked for the past six years at dunnhumby, most recently as senior vice president, general manager - Americas. Prior to dunnhumby, Gillis held a variety of category management and customer insights jobs at Loblaw Companies Ltd, Nielsen and General Mills.
Based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Araujo is responsible for developing the Symphony EYC customer base throughout Central and South America. Araujo comes to Symphony EYC from dunnhumby Brazil, where he was general manager/director for the past six years. Prior to that, Araujo worked with dunnhumby in the United Kingdom. He also worked as a consultant with MarketBridge and with Peppers & Rogers Group.
"Retailers across the Americas are ripe for the speed and ease of the Symphony Retail Cloud solutions, which enable them to quickly get to customer insights without the expense of an on-site business intelligence implementation," said Brian Gillis, general manager, Americas, Symphony EYC. "While our initial targets are the fast moving consumer goods companies, Symphony EYC believes that there is a huge opportunity for our technology across the entire retail sector in both North and South America."
"While many Latin American retailers do have customer-centric solutions in place, for the most part they do not know how to optimize the data they have," said Adriano Araujo, general manager, Latin America. "Symphony EYC solutions, in particular our Amplify™ mass personalization tool, make accessible big data science that previously was available only to huge retailers."
