August 1, 2016
Los Angeles, Calif. - Carmichael International Service, one of North America's largest customs brokerage and trade compliance specialists, today announced the launch of a full-service operation in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The new Charlotte location is the company's twelfth in the United States as well as its second major expansion this year.
"As the country's fastest growing large city in terms of the number of businesses*, we believe Charlotte is firmly poised to grow its role as a major distribution and transportation center, especially in the textile sector, which is one of our company's most important verticals," said Carmichael President Todd Boice. "We are excited to be one of the Queen City's newest supply chain residents."
The Charlotte operation has already begun serving its first client, one of the world's leading clothing manufacturers.
Carmichael now operates in twelve U.S. locations. In addition, it offers services in Canada via a partnership with Kintetsu World Express. Each of its offices provides a full range of services, including customs brokerage, compliance management, duty drawback, and customs bond management.
