Bemis Manufacturing Company Goes Live with 3Gtms Optimization

Quality features and uniquely powerful optimization engine will save money and increase efficiencies

Bemis Manufacturing Company Goes Live with 3Gtms Optimization

3Gtms, Inc., a software company that provides transportation management software for LSPs, shippers and carriers, announced that 3G-TM, its transportation management system (TMS) is successfully in production at Bemis Manufacturing Company.

"Bemis has been using TMS solutions for over 20 years, and 3G-TM was the first modern TMS we found that allowed us to manage our pool points and multi-stop TL planning," said Keith Bassuener, manager of distribution and logistics at Bemis Manufacturing Company. "We evaluated many different systems, but those few that had true pool distribution functionality were too complex to set up and maintain. 3Gtms' combination of many quality options with a uniquely powerful optimization engine saves us a lot of money and doesn't take any more time."

Bassuener continued, "We've created a great set of transportation options to move our freight, including LTL and TL carriers along with many overlapping pool points. Our mix of freight changes dramatically from day to day. We need an optimization product to easily and quickly choose between all of these options and find the most cost-efficient way to move our freight."

"Bemis Manufacturing Company is best known for its toilet seat and plastic products," said Mitch Weseley, CEO of 3Gtms. "They've done a great job of creating a lot of quality and cost efficient options for moving their freight. They need a product that can consider all of these options and come up with the best way to move the freight. This is far too complicated to be done manually but with our optimization engine it's all done automatically."
