Cushman & Wakefield announced that Larry Kahn has joined the firm's Orlando office as a Director in its Industrial Brokerage Services group.
Kahn, an 18-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry, will focus on rail-served industrial real estate, specializing in site selection and bringing rail-served properties to market throughout the state of Florida. Freight rail is a growing logistics business offering its users a competitive market advantage.

Kahn previously served as Vice President at Foundry Commercial Real Estate (CNL Commercial Real Estate), was a partner and Director of Business Development at MetroOne, Inc. and was President of Sun National, LLC.

"We're thrilled to welcome Larry to Cushman & Wakefield," said Larry Richey, Senior Managing Director and Florida Market Leader. "The depth and breadth of his knowledge in logistics, freight and real estate is extraordinary. Larry will provide our clients with the insight they need to make informed decisions at a time when Florida's distribution network is growing by leaps and bounds."

Kahn has extensive experience consulting domestic and international parties on issues regarding freight and the development of manufacturing and distribution facilities. He has worked with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) on multiple projects, including the Interstate 75 Stakeholder Task Force, the Intermodal Freight Technology Working Group and the Advisory Board for Logistics Led Economic Development. Kahn also authored the FDOT's Primer on Intermodal Logistics Centers. Additionally, Kahn advises various Economic Development Commissions throughout the state of Florida.

Kahn also has a long track record of volunteering his expertise in the community. He has served on the Orange County Public Schools' Member Transportation Committee as well as its Bi-Racial Committee and was Vice Chairperson on MetroPlan Orlando's Freight Study Group.
Kahn is a graduate of the University of South Florida and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM).
