Southeastern Freight Lines, the leading provider of regional less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation services, today announced that Marty Cox has been promoted to service center manager in Lexington, Kentucky.
Cox has 12 years of industry experience, beginning his service at Southeastern in April 2004 as a freight handler in Knoxville, Tennessee. Throughout his career, Cox has also served as quality assurance leader, inbound dock supervisor, and pick-up and delivery supervisor. Most recently, Cox served as assistant service center manager in Knoxville.
"Marty demonstrates excellent leadership skills and is committed to living our culture, providing quality without question service to each customer," said Kim Shore, regional vice president of operations for Southeastern. "We are confident Marty will continue his success with the company as service center manager in Lexington."
Cox makes the transition to Lexington with his wife of 14 years, Christy, and their children. In his free time, Cox enjoys spending time with his family, coaching his daughter's AAU basketball team and riding motocross. He is also a huge Tennessee Volunteers fan.
