SALT LAKE CITY - For a seventh consecutive year, Unishippers Global Logistics, LLC, has earned its spot among the Top 25 Freight Brokerage Firms in North America according to Transport Topics' annual Top 50 ranking.

The Transport Topics Top 50 Logistics companies is a unique ranking of the largest logistics companies in North America on the basis of actual annual net revenues for 2015, plus types of freight handled and number of loads or shipments. The Top 50 comprises listings of the largest freight forwarders, warehouse operators, dedicated contract carrier service providers and freight brokerage firms. Unishippers was ranked #11 on the Top Freight Brokerage Firms list.

"We've seen accelerated growth in the past year and Unishippers is well on its way to cracking into the top 10 freight brokerage firms," said Kevin Lathrop, president of Unishippers Global Logistics. "Receiving this type of honor from a well-respected publication in the industry is a validation of the hard work we have seen from our franchise system over the past year. We have to congratulate them as well as extend our gratitude to our shipping partners and customers for their support and loyalty."

Optimism within the transportation and logistics industry continues to run high thanks to a variety of factors including the growth of e-commerce and diversification of service offerings. Staying on top of these trends is Unishippers, which continued steady growth throughout 2015 and ended the year with more than $450 million in gross annual revenue and 20 new franchise owners. The company's momentum has also been bolstered by its subsidiary partner Launch Logistics, which reached an annual revenue of more than $20 million last year.

Earlier this year, Unishippers received accolades within in the franchise industry as a Top 200 franchise by Entrepreneur magazine and the distinction of being a top concept in franchisee satisfaction by Franchise Business Review.

Unishippers' nationwide system of franchises and affiliate outlets are small- and mid-size business advocates who are committed to providing customers with reduced shipping rates through top national, regional and local carriers. The company delivers Platinum Service that includes a dedicated account team for service, technology built for SMB customers and flexible credit, insurance and invoicing options—all traditionally reserved for Fortune 500 customers.
