DAT Load Boards and Getloaded Combine Back Office and Expand Operations

PORTLAND, Ore. (Feb. 11, 2016)—DAT Solutions, whose network of loadboards provides the greatest source of truck capacity for brokers and 3PLs, announced that it is combining customer support and billing departments with Getloaded, the leading source of specialty and flatbed loads and trucks.

The combined operations will move to a larger facility in Portland in the third quarter to handle the growth of their customer base.

"DAT and Getloaded will continue to run with separate databases of truck loads provided by 3rd parties and shippers, and truck postings from carriers," said Don Thornton, Senior Vice President at DAT Solutions. "The number of customers we serve has grown exponentially, and the consolidation of our operational teams allows us to continue to deliver the world class service the industry expects from us."

Twice in the past five years, the International Customer Management Institute (ICMI) has recognized DAT's call center as the most outstanding in its class for exceptionally high customer satisfaction ratings, employee job satisfaction, and best in class call center management practices.

DAT was established in 1978 as the industry's original load board at a truck stop on I-5 just north of Portland. For the next 30 years, DAT grew to become the industry's largest loadboard, serving brokers, carriers, and shippers. In 2008, the company expanded its products to include real-time spot and contract market rate information and trends, and began publishing DAT Trendlines weekly, covering truckload supply and demand and rates. DAT Trendlines is now the industry's most widely read and quoted publication on these topics.

Getloaded opened its doors in 1999 in Richmond, Va., and has subsequently grown to be a major load board, increasingly focused on specialized, flatbed, and hotshot loads.
